​An exciting 2-5 weeks programme dedicated to transforming college students/graduates from all backgrounds (i.e. Science, Engineering, Social Science or Technology) into leaders who will guide and create tomorrow's businesses.​ The intensive programme covers sufficient knowledge and workshops in marketing, sales, business ethics and financial management in order to enable the students to set up international trade business between Ireland & China.

The Programme consists of three elements:

​

  • Training in entrepreneurship and international trade

  • Workshops on developing business ideas

  • Social networking activities in China. 

This programme will facilitate students in understanding what it takes to start a new business in China, including the basics of finance, marketing and management. It is highly practical and will allow them to assess the commercial viability of a new business idea and transform their idea into feasibility and business plans. This programme requires each participant to write up a business proposal and present their business plans to angel investors and our management board, winning business ideas will have the opportunity to secure venture investment from angle investors. Government representatives & business leaders will be invited to give mentorships to delegates. Social networking events and company visits will also be organised for our students.



This Entrepreneur Training Programme will be delivered in the choice of Shanghai or Chengdu in China. The 2-5 weeks programme in Shanghai also offers additional 3 months internship placement. When you apply the programme, please indicate which city that you are applying for. 

Students will be involved in appreciating the following essential areas:


• Written Business Plan
• Market Analysis
• Business Planning & Management
• Leadership & Communication
• Financial Planning & Management
• Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet & Cash Flows
• Sales & Marketing
• Operations Financing
• Human Resources
• Legal Issues, Structure and Taxes

Students work in teams of 3-5 to:​


• Identify a viable business idea
• Test the feasibility of the idea
• Determine the best way for the business to compete
• Identify capital needs to start the business
• Devise a plan for managing the business successfully​
 

Participants will be provided with case studies, instruction and necessary materials to assist them in the successful completion of the programme.

The Future Entrepreneur Programme includes:



  • ​2-5 weeks programme in Shanghai or Chengdu City in China 

  • Entrepreneur training + workshops + multinational company visits + pitch to investors

  • Optional additional 3 months internship placement

  • Textbook and other required course training materials
